While I am getting a little sick of posting/uploading political issues, I do think it is imperative that the supreme court looks into fully-backing marriage equality. Honestly, with so many issues and problems facing this country, I find it upsetting that we find ourselves even debating this issue at this day and age.
The house is so empty without her unconditional love, her snoring at night, and her incessant howling whenever a siren erupted within a 50 mile radius. I’ve become so used to knowing the time of day due to her nudging, and speaking, and wagging of her tail. At 6:30 AM and PM it was snack time, and 5:00 PM was time for her dinner. Our darling dog, Dokie, was a stickler for punctuality.
Why is it that children are hungry in the world and yet millions of dollars are spent deciding who will be the next President of the United States? Why is it that people die because they can’t afford health care? Why is it that kids get through a standardized test but can’t read, write, or engage in educated rhetoric? Why is it that intense weather is ripping through the world but blind politicians choose not to notice their part in this dilemma? Why is it that we drill for oil when the sun’s energy lies waiting to be used? Why is it that mountains in Virginia are being blown to pieces in the shameful name of clean coal?
